The Taphouse is a locally owned and operated Abilene restaurant and bar that specializes in what we like to call Texas Comfort Food. Our made-from-scratch menu is flanked by a huge selection of craft beer, craft cocktails, and a carefully chosen wine list. The end result is a comfortable, casual environment with great food and drink served by a friendly and knowledgable staff. Great food. I can recommend the salmon, cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce and chutney and accompanied by a couscous also seasoned well.

I was on a business trip from Dallas and went here on a whim. It is truly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Now, two weeks later I keep wistfully thinking about the two excellent meals I had there, and wishing I lived closer. Absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation of the food. Fabulous beer selection too!

I don't think so, they have a great bar with a lot of beer on tap and in bottles. Whisky and anything else you want.

Sherolyn, we do offer Happy Hour specials for mixed drinks and wine, full Happy Hour details are as follow: $1 off draft beers, $1 off domestic bottles, $3 well drinks, $1 off margaritas, $1 off wine by the glass, and $3 off wine by the bottle.
